Month 9??

Okay, so I'm not the poster child for Sensa success but, to give it credit, Sensa is the reason I'm continuing to try.

When I got home in late April, I stepped on the scales with gret forbidding but was surprised to see I'd lost 3 pounds.  It could just be because I was now using a different scale but I'll accept it anyway.  Since then I've bounced down another 2 lbs., bounced back up 2 lbs., and so on and so on and so on.  I seem to be stuck.

The good news is that I'm still down about 17 lbs. from when I started in November and it's pretty well stayed off.  That is success as far as I'm concerned but I'll keep on trying to lose some more.  I'll never be thin but I'm more comfortable with every pound that leaves my body.

6 Months on Sensa

I weighed myself this morning and my new weight loss is 16 lbs.  It may not sound like much for 6 months of dieting but it is actually an amazingly successful loss for me.  It's been so long since I lost this amount of weight that I can't even remember it.

I give full credit to Sensa for giving me the impetus and the time to change my eating habits.  Again, if Sensa is a scam that doesn't really work then I don't care.  It gave me the time to change and the change has become my new habit.  I'm very, very pleased.

15 lb. Loss

I stayed the same as last week but still am happy with carrying 15 lbs. less on my body than I was last November.  I still have far to go but will continue to be pleased with whatever comes off and however long it takes.

The most important fact is that Sensa gave me the impetus to start eating better and the time to make my new eating pattern a habit.  Whether Sensa is a scam or not, I'd be carting around at least 15 more pounds on my body today without having used it.

April 23/14

I bought a digital scale which showed my morning weight as a 14 pound loss...up 1 pound.

Holding On and Hanging In

Sylvia and I both hit one of those famous walls where not an ounce more came off or stayed off but we kept on with Sensa and restarted the weight loss a couple of weeks ago...a few ounces or a pound or two.

I'm back home now and still determined to shed more weight.  One nice thing is that my home scale shows that I lost 3 pounds in the last few weeks but it could just be that the home scale doesn't weigh me the way the trailer scale did.  I don't care.  I'll accept the 3 lb. loss and go on from here.

I've never totally believed that there was a magic elixir in Sensa but that doesn't matter.  What matters is that just sprinkling it on your food makes you think of what you're eating and the past 5 months of using Sensa has given me the time to change my eating habits to a point where they now seem normal to me.

My weight loss at this time (using the home scale) is 15 pounds.  My clothes are looser and I'm wearing a size smaller than I did before.  I'm much more comfortable but haven't lost sight of the fact that I need to lose more weight.  Being pre-diabetic means that taking off weight could help reduce the chances of having to take medication for diabetes.  Being home and not dining out as much as I did in Florida will make dieting easier, too.

I have enough Sensa for another year and then I'll assess whether it's worth continuing to take it.

Week 11 on Sensa

12 pounds lost, hopefully never to be found again!  I still can't quite attribute the weight loss to Sensa other than it's a constant reminder every time I eat and sprinkle.  If all it turns out to be is a reminder, then I'm okay with that because it's been working.

Whatever works...as long as it doesn't do harm.

Week 10 on Sensa

I know it hasn't been a full 10 weeks (it will be this coming Wednesday) but I'm so happy with what I saw on the scale this morning.  I had some unnerving ups and downs during the Christmas season and then during a 4 day trip to Biloxi (too much booze) but this morning I weighed myself and I finally hit the 10 pound loss.

I never gave up on Sensa but realized I had to work a little harder with it in order to continue losing the weight I wanted.  Ioften forget to put it on my food and I'm going to try harder to remember...it's a visual reminder to pay attention to exactly what I'm ingesting.

Anyway, I'm very happy to see the progress I've achieved so far.  Now on to the next 5 pounder.
