An Update

I stopped using Sensa last winter because I felt I didn't need it any more.  Since then I've gained back 5 lbs. but still kept off the bulk of what I'd lost.  This is because using the Sensa gave me time to change my eating habits and I'm still eating healthier than I did before Sensa.

It could be better but, then again, it could be a lot worse so I'm still pleased with the results I got from Sensa.

Finished

I actually stopped using the Sensa months ago because I felt I'd learned to correct my bad eating habits and didn't need the Sensa any more.  I'd used it for a year and lost 25 lbs. which has mainly stayed off with only a few pounds bouncing back on occasionally.

I still don't know if the Sensa worked only psychologically but that doesn't matter because it did work for me.  It gave me time to get control of my poor eating patterns and that made it worth the cost and the effort.

Now, even without the Sensa, I have much better eating habits than I ever did and I'm confident I might even go on to lose a few more pounds.  I snack only on fruit or yogurt and try to eat meals on time.  Age has taken care of my earlier penchant for eating late at night...I get reflux if I eat almost anything after 8 P.M.  Somehow, yogurt doesn't bother me, though.

With the loss of 25 lbs., I feel more comfortable even though I'm still considered quite overweight.  I've gone down a couple of sizes in my clothing and it makes me happy to see clear evidence that the pounds are gone.

I've also noticed that I can't eat large volumes of food at any one time and that used to be a problem for me.  I didn't seem to have a shut off valve to tell me I was full.  Now I do!

I wish I'd known about and tried Sensa years ago but maybe the timing was right for me last year.  In any case, I'm thankful for the good results and would recommend it to anyone.  Just don't think the Sensa will do all the work for you.  You have to make an effort to eat less and to eat right.  I'm sure the people who say Sensa didn't work for them didn't try hard enough.

One of the worst things I craved before Sensa was potato chips but I haven't had any since starting Sensa in November, 2013.  I know if I have even one that I'll be right back bingeing on them.  I know me.  I still have fries but not as many and sweets were never a problem.

I know how fast the pounds can come back on so I weigh myself once a week just to keep track.  My friend, Sylvia, who began the experiment with me had a setback when she was in a bad car accident but we'll continue to weigh in every Wednesday and e-mail each other with the results.  Using the buddy system is a big help when trying to lose or maintain weight.

And so I'm very happy with my results and hopefully can carry on successfully on my own.  At some point we all have to live what we've learned, don't we?
